"C" Core Banding

SMPC stocks a variety of strapping and seals/clips for use in the assembly and banding of "C" Cores. Materials include Tin-Coated Steel, Phosphorus-Bronze, and Stainless Steel. Pneumatic tensioning tools are also in stock and available for immediate shipment.

Tin Coated Products

BANDING STRAP is sold in a self dispensing 300 foot roll. Tinning is in accordance with MIL-T-10727 C, MIL-STD-202E Method 208C (Type II). Tensile properties determined per ASTM E8 - 70,000 psi Minimum Ultimate Yield Strength.

PLEASE NOTE:
Phosphorus Bronze Strap can be used for inductors or Chokes where the magnetic strap would upset the desired characteristics. Stainless Steel Strapping usually requires a crimp style seal.

BANDING SEALS are sold in a 500 piece box. The seals are Electro Deposited Bright Tin (Type I) .0003 - .0005" thickness per ASTM B545 (after forming).

All support documents substantiating origin and processes are maintained on file and available upon request. All products are of Domestic Origin and Acceptable under the guidelines set forth in ROHS and WEEE.
